Fun Facts: The Lighthouse was built by hand for the film.

The film was kinda based on a true story (which was called ‘The Smalls’ Lighthouse Incident’ which took place in 1801).

Cinematographer Jarin Blaschke was nominated for an Academy Award.

The Eggers brothers used a lot of dialogue from the forgotten writer, Sara Orne Jewett.

Summary: In the late 19th century, two lighthouse keepers puts their sanity to the test when they are trapped at the lighthouse.

The Review: The incredible plot, performances and a unique cinematography tells you that this is not a horror film you have ever seen before, bravo to the talented Robert Eggers!
